Stuart Bloomfield founded his own design
company in 2004 following almost a decade
as one of the principal members of the team
at Crowther Multihulls. Preferring to
focus on sailing catamarans and power catamaran yacht design,
Bloomfield Innovation continues to provide a presence of
Crowther Designs in the sailboat market for boats in the range up
to 60'. Stuart, a qualified naval
architect and engineer, brings with him
extensive experience in all aspects of
multihull design, having developed numerous
innovations throughout his career, including many renown catamaran
hull designs used in fast ferries and sailing yachts all over the globe and
numerous structural and design innovations;
he has also personally managed over 100
design projects ranging from award winning
carbon fibre record breaking sailing yachts
to 100' composite power catamaran yachts and
aluminium passenger ferries. Stuart is also one of the
only designers actively racing in top level competition,
he regularly crews on the fastest sailing multihulls in
the country, formely on XL2, Windswept and Surreal and
currently on Trilogy, Raw to the Core and Raw Nerve.
Bloomfield Innovation is located in
Melbourne, Australia. They provide world
